FAQ
What are pool and currents? Pool is your feed, tapes from the people you've tuned in to. Currents is you discovery page, where you come across people you don't necessarily follow.
2. How long can a tape be? New channels can post up to 2 minutes 30 seconds. Once your channel reaches 50 listeners, long form unlocks automatically and you can post up to 60 minutes.
3. Is there a size limit? Every tape is capped at 60 MB, and cover art at 4 MB. This cap is on size rather than length so a short tape can be pristine while long ones require more efficiency. 60 MB is roughly 6 minutes lossless, or a full hour at 128 kbps.
4. Why does my tape have a transcript? Public tapes are transcribed automatically so people can read along. Private tapes are never sent off your device. On your own tapes you can tap the transcript to edit it.

Safety
How do I report or block someone? Open the tape's menu (•••) and choose Report to flag content. To report a comment, press and hold it. To block someone, open their profile and choose Block from the menu (•••). We review reported content and remove anything that violates our guidelines.
What's the difference between silencing and blocking? Silencing is one-way and quiet. Their tapes stop appearing in your feed and they're never told. Blocking they can't interact with you. Manage both in Settings → Silenced and Blocked.

Account
How do I reset my password? On the sign-in screen, choose "Forgot password." We'll email you a verification code to enter in the app, then let you set a new password.
How do I delete my account? Go to Settings → account, and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, tapes, and associated data.

Privacy
Who can see my tapes? Tapes you post as public are playable by anyone on stereopool. Tapes you mark as private are visible only to you. Setting your channel to private keeps it out of public discovery.
Can I share a tape with select people? Yes. On a private tape you can add specific people, and it appears for them in their PRIVATE POOL. You can only name people you're mutually tuned in to, and you can choose whether they are allowed to collect it.
